Silk Saving & Credit Co-op Ltd., was established on 2066 B.S. ( 2009 A.D.). It was founded on the belief that all people have the right to affordable, reliable and accessible financial services. Silk Saving is a community member based credit union that believes in improving people’s lives, by creating opportunities that last. To achieve this, we, work in partnership with our community members and provide them with financial solutions that meet their needs through our various financial products and services.
The idea and concept of Silk Saving & Credit Co-op Ltd., was inspired by Mrs Sweta Karki; her work and commitment towards her people and her community. She personified “Trust, Integrity, Reliability & Community Service”. These are the principles on which Silk Saving & Credit Co-op Ltd. is built.
People lack the basic financial services and knowledge that so many of us take for granted. Silk Saving is a unique solution, and we take a different approach from other financial institution. We, make sure members get access to the financial building blocks needed to support families and create better and stronger communities and neighborhood by creating sustainable businesses and job opportunities thereby strengthening the local economy.
